Welcome, friend; I’m so happy you’re here! I’m Diomelys, owner and founder of Pure Essence by Mely. I am a mother and registered nurse by day and a small business owner by night.
My passion for natural skincare began after the birth of my son, Sebastian. Feeling as though I couldn’t find something that would cater to the needs of my newborn baby’s skin, I took it upon myself to create body butter and soap bars that were gentle, nourishing, and made with pure, high-quality ingredients—my breast milk. What began as a passion project flourished into something I couldn’t imagine.
After using our first batch of products, I instantly noticed results with my son. His skin was left gentle, soft, and moisturized. Free of irritating fragrances and hard-to-pronounce ingredients, our skincare products are made with simple, natural, and organic ingredients.

Our products have been formulated and tested for over a year through friends and family. After hearing such great feedback and receiving requests for more products, I decided to take the leap of faith and begin my business In the fall of 2024.
