My name is Diomelys, the owner and founder of Pure Essence by Mely. I’m a mother and registered nurse by day, and a passionate small business owner by night.

My journey into natural skincare began after the birth of my first son, Sebastian. As a new mom, I struggled to find products gentle enough for my newborn’s delicate skin while still being made with truly pure ingredients. When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I felt inspired to create it myself. I began making body butters and soap bars that were nourishing, simple, and made with high-quality ingredients — including my own breast milk.

What started as a small passion project for my baby quickly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

Our family has since been blessed again, and we recently welcomed our second miracle baby, Maria. Becoming a mother for the second time has deepened my commitment to creating skincare that is safe, natural, and lovingly made for the most precious skin — from babies to adults.

My faith and my family are at the center of everything I do. I believe the gifts we are given are meant to be nurtured with love, gratitude, and intention. Pure Essence by Mely was created with that same heart — honoring the beauty of creation by using simple, natural ingredients to care for the skin we are blessed with.

What began with a mother’s desire to care for her baby’s skin has grown into a mission to help families everywhere embrace skincare that is pure, intentional, and made with heart.
